Question about the photography contest ….?
I am a beginner and I'm eager to fix the (very) long-term goals … one of them is evenutually enter photography contest (magazines etc.). My question (s )…. when you see the winners of these competitions …. do you think they manipulate their photos (Photoshop etc.) … do you think that any of these photos were shot in "self"? What are some rules and regulations that separate amatures take "lucky shots" (or manipulate their images) from real professionals who actually skills? Besides, I am deliberately not learning Photoshop until I bit the technical skills to take pictures quality …. I was just wondering ….
Depends on the magazine, a digital camera, for example expects some manipulation, Amateur Photographer allows very little, while the magazine expects much Photoshop! Most are handled Judging by the number of HDR photos that seem to win. Very unlikely to be shot in Aperture Priority auto, where you can control depth of field is the favorite. Some plans are in brackets. People tend to use the word "manipulation as a pejorative term, photographs have always been" manipulated ", from" duck "and" burns "the development of the image itself, force or retain, develop formulas that have increased / decreased etc. however, and was and the first day of photography, just that the digital age has made this much easier. You can never make a good shot poor handling, you can change the perception "of a subject photographed together. Photoshop (and photography in general) is very much an activity GIGO (Garbage in, garbage out) Photoshop can do a good hit 'Shine'. but a bad shot can never be, at best "acceptable". Chris
