poetry formats for kids
What do you look for when commenting on someone’s poem?

I have been writing poetry ever since I could write. I appreciate all who love writing because it’s a great form of expression. But in my writing class, we have to all comment on others poems. I don’t know any technical terms or things to look for, but some kids are pointing out things about the format and puncuation that I never even think about when I write. I just write what comes out, and people usually like it. But I don’t know what to say to people. I think if they wrote something that was with their creative power then it is good. I don’t nit pick at how many comma’s they have. I don’t know what else to say except, it was good, I like the repetition of the line, I like the subject, it seems like you put a lot of effort into it??

I like variety.

If its a poem that rhymes , has very good description no one has ever used before, and has very little cliche elements in it, then I will definatly enjoy it.

Same for if it doesn’t rhyme. If it says something simple, but deep at the same time I appreciate that as well.

Christmas Greetings
