What is the definition of poetry?
I'm writing a paper, a minimum of seven pages, on what the definition of poetry. Until Now I have that is more connotative denotative that, unlike prose, since he is more concerned with emotion rather than explicit documentation of something. Also, of course, it is a verbal representation that conveys a sense. Has anyone Other ideas to define the characteristics that I could use for this paper? Moreover, these features must be at least somewhat universal, so I can not really talk about the structure (the rhyme and rhythm) as long as they are not necessarily present in every poem.
1) It can be written form of free verse, such as EE Cummings, with less structure than other messages 2) It often uses rhythm and rhyme (you can go in different types)
