Anyone care to check out my writing?
Right, so I have three books on Worthy of Publishing. One is a three page short story, another is the few few chapters of a novel and the other is a book of poetry. I ask only that you choose one and read the first chapter/poem (read more if you’d like) and tell me what you think! Criticism is appreciated! But please bare in ind I’m only 16 so it’s not going to be amazing and it’s only experimental stuff as I try to figure out a unique writing style.

That is amazing. It didn’t sound like it was written by a 16 year old at all. I am very impressed. And it means something for me to say that because I am fifteen and also a writer.
Before I go on, there were two mistakes I saw in The Looming Scaffold. One was that in chapter 1 you wrote “new” instead of “knew” and at the very end you wrote “Death in Peaceful”. I feel it should be “Death is peaceful”, unless I misunderstood.
I only read The Looming Scaffold, but trust me you already have a unique writing style. I love the way you started with the end and went back to the beginning. Many young writers say to themselves “I want to write a story about a person who does this” and they do just that, paying little attention to writing style. You seem like one of the few who can not only think of plot, but write in a way that captivates the reader.
You can write, not just make up stories, but actually write.
I am glad that you showed us this. I learn more about good writing and writing styles every day. To know that someone about my age wrote this both inspires me and leaves me worried that my writing won’t add up.
