How is the Photography program at Syracuse University?
I hope to attend this school for Photography and wanted to know how th eprogram is there, thanks in advance for answering.
Syracuse has a well respected art program, overall. They’d be a good choice. Certainly one of the better art schools in the US, and in NY state.
Just FYI in case you’re interested, the best photography programs in the US are at: School of the Art Institute of Chicago, RISD, U New Mexico, Rochester Institute of Tech, Arizona State U, U Arizona, San Francisco Art Institute (not part of the AI chain of schools, which is to be avoided), Yale, California Institute of the Arts, and UCLA.
RIT is in NY state, so you may want to check them out. Other solid photo/art programs in the NY region include: School of Visual Arts, Pratt Institute, Columbia U, Bard College, Temple U, Parsons, University of the Arts, RISD, Rutgers New Brunswick, Syracuse (which you mentioned), Cornell, U Penn, NYU, Mass Art, and School of the Museum of Fine Arts Boston (which offers dual degrees with Tufts and Northeastern).
