Is New York Institure of Photography a genuinely good school to learn from?
I’m looking into Photography, and can’t find any great schools around here with a Photography based degree. I don’t know where to really go and look at, and learn the best knowledge. I’ve looked at NYIP, can anyone give me any good feedback, or advice? Thanks so much.
NYIP has been in business since 1910.
Although some may denigrate a correspondence course in photography, citing the lack of immediate feedback from an instructor standing right in front of you, the NYIP course is like any other – you only get out of it what you put into it. With the advent of email, feedback and critique of your work comes fairly quickly.
Since a correspondence course is self-directed, you control the time when its convenient for you to work on assignments. This makes work and family responsibilities a better fit than a traditional classroom setting.
