What are my chances at getting into Texas A&M University?
My name is Nick and I’m a senior in HS. I applied Jan. 14 (the deadline was Feb. 1) to Texas A&M University. I’m 90% that’s where I want to go to school. I love their traditions and the pride that they have for their school. Plus, it’s a really good academic school.
I got all of my credentials turned in early.
I have a 3.58 GPA and my SAT CR and Math were a 1070. With a combined score of a 1600. Which means, I didn’t do very well.. I made a 21 on the ACT which is REALLY bad. I’m at the very bottom of the top 25%. I have appx. 152 community service hours.
I have been in several school activities such as Band (which I was Head Drum Major of this year), German Club, Yearbook (Photography Editor), and a few outside activities with my church.
I’m thinking I don’t have much a chance getting at this point seeing as I applied late and my resume isn’t all that spectacular. If I don’t get in, I will go to Blinn for a year and transfer.
I recently got in (still waiting on UT)
I had a 3.7 GPA, SAT 1700, ACT 28 and similar extra curriculars. You may be waitlisted (theres a good chance) but i think you’ll get in. i had friends with lower credintials and they all got in. good luck!
