Can you use rv/car window visors for photography light reflectors?
Looking for a cheap way to make or buy a photography light reflector. I have heard of using foil over a piece of cardboard, but I really don’t like that idea much, doesn’t sound like it would look very good. I have also heard that the uv light visors for rvs and cars work well if they are not too wrinkled. Looking for information on anyone who has tried this and if it really works well or not. From what I have seen they look similar to the photography light reflectors also, just without the different colors for different lighting situations. Opinions, thoughts, suggestions, etc. welcome!

I have used just about anything that reflects light the way I need for it to. That said, I have used what you are talking about but you have to have someone hold it for you or you have the model hold down and in front of themselves for a certain effect or you have to tape them, clamp them to a stand or tripod. A hard base reflector or a professional type really are easier to handle. Remember white reflects softer than silver and gold adds warmth. Good luck.
