What would be best for design and photography?
I’m not very computer savvy so I need some help. I’m getting a new computer and I want to get the best one for the price. I want it to last me a few years. I’m 16 and I don’t plan on buying another one until I’m at least halfway through college. I don’t like blowing money. I do a lot of art and I’m expanding into digital. Graphic design and photography. This is important because I need pieces for my college portfolio. What’s a good brand? Some people are telling me to get a Mac, others say it’s overpriced for what you get. What’s a good price for a laptop anyway? And how much memory would I need? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
Some is going to tell you that Macs are great for design and art and creativity and blah blah blah. The truth is that Macs are great at anything you want to use a computer for. Well except for a few things. Macs suck if you want a computer that you have to work for instead of a computer that works for you.
Macs suck if you want a computer that turns gives it’s users more trouble than any other consumer device.
Macs suck if you want to use the same kind of computer that you use at work and that all your friends use. I’m not sure why some people think that’s a big advantage. Beats me.
