Best Dell laptop for photography work?
Starting my Bachelor of Art in Photography, What is the best “dell” laptop computer for photo correction and photo shop work, you know graphics in general? And please don’t say Mac… I’m very comfortable with the pc and wish to stay with one. Thank you in advance for all of your input.
You will want one that has at least 2GB of RAM and a large hard drive.
Perhaps the most important feature would be getting one that has a ExpressCard/54 port. That port with a CF or SD card reader can download image files at nearly 3GB/sec … USB’s download at 480MB/sec. You can see as your cameras become more sophisticated and the image files become larger, a way to quickly download your work will become more and more important.

And you are right, learning a new operating system is not what you want or need to do. Actually I sold my last Mac about flour years ago when I found that Photoshop CS2 ran faster on XP than my Mac.
