PC choice: Apple vs. ?

I’m going to buy a new PC (priced less than $2,000) which will be devoted solely to processing my photographic endeavors. I want a well built unit with a great monitor (20″ to 24″), with accurate vivid color reproduction. That seems to (in brief) to describe an Apple! I have spent a little time on the internet reading reviews of PCs (and I’ve read one or two reviews of laptops): Apple scores the best! I bought a Dell about two months ago. I got one of their better (24″) monitors. It is, I think, pretty good (across the board). However, I believe I can do better, and I kick myself for not buying an Apple. I know more about photography than I do about computers. Is Apple the best regarding photographic work?

There are things PCs and Macs are good for… and there are things PCs and Macs are not good for. Take for instance, business acounting. PCs have the adequate software and reliability for an accountant to store records of bank accounts or whatever using bitlocker. Well, of course Macs are also reliable in this field, they lack the adequate software and architecture to handle the bitlocker protection feature.

Another thing, Macs are good for multimedia such as photography, graphics design, movie editing, and other director’s cuts. PCs are only good for business purposes and more importantly gaming. Who the heck said that Macs are gaining more support in gaming? That’s not true… All of the good games are reserved for Windows PCs only and Macs are left with their own software to conjure up their own.

Speaking of games, this is one thing a Mac will never beat a PC in. To prove that, millions of Chinese play World of Warcraft on millions of PCs and still multiplying. That is something a Mac will never achieve in the distant future.

So, to sum everything up. Macs are good for multimedia fields while PCs do the heavy duty of businesses. It is that simple to understand that Macs and PCs have their own specific field of purpose that makes them superior to the other. Therefore in my opinion, Macs are better in photography then PCs and it is suggested that all photographers have a Mac. CNN news casters uses Macs all the time after they capture a footage and edit it before they send it back to HQ through stream feed.
